After breakfast, we will continue the private Pingyao tour in the Ancient City, and then a one hour Paper Cutting class is arranged for you to learn about the traditional skill of Chinese folk arts. 

After lunch, we will proceed to Shuanglin Temple. It gets its name from the two sky-high ancient pines in the temple, which look like a pair of unique forest trees. The Shuanglin Temple preserves numerous ancient architectural and artistic treasures, including the mountain gate, the Daxiongbao Hall, the Tibetan scripture building and the Lohan Hall.  Next you will be escorted to the well-known Qiao Family's Compound the interior layout of the compound is rigorous and the architectural style is unique, showcasing the architectural art of the Ming and Qing dynasties and the lifestyle of wealthy families. Famous for its huge scale and exquisite architectural decorations, the Qiao Family Residence is regarded as the jewel of ancient dwellings in northern China.

After two hours' stay in Qiao Family Compound, we will drive to Taiyuan Railway Station, where a high-speed train to Datong is waiting for you. The train takes around 2.5 hours. Upon arrival at Datong, you will be picked up on time and transferred to the hotel.
