Today, you will visit Emin Minaret (Sugong Pagoda), which was built in 1778 A.D. and has a history of more than 230 years. It was built by the famous Uyghur patriot Emin and Zhuo, the king of Turpan County, in order to repay the favour of the Qing Dynasty, express his piety to Allah and to make his lifelong performance known to the future generations, and he paid 7000 taels of silver for the construction of the pagoda.
Continue to the Karez Well. Karez Well is a kind of underground water conservancy project created during the long historical development of the working people in arid lands. Karez Well drew out the groundwater and turned the desert into an oasis, which was called "well canal" in ancient times.
