After breakfast, visit Gaochang Ancient City (2 hours) - which was a crucial garrison town on the Silk Road. And then, go to have a trip to Bezeklik Caves. Kizil Grottoes has four grotto areas, officially numbered 236 grottoes, most of the statues have been destroyed, there are 81 grottoes with exquisite murals, for the cultural heritage of the ancient Guzi State. Kizil Grottoes has long history and heavy cultural and artistic background.
After that, continue to visit Flaming Mountain. Xinjiang Flaming Mountain is the most famous attraction in Turpan. Located at the northern edge of the Turpan Basin, on the northern route of the ancient Silk Road, it is mainly composed of reddish sandstone, conglomerate and mudstone from the Jurassic, Cretaceous and Tertiary periods of the Mesozoic Era. Locals call it "Kyzyltag", meaning "Red Mountain".
