Today is a great day for witnessing Tibet’s natural beauty. Namtso Lake, one of the three sacred lakes in Tibet, is renowned as a holy site in Tibetan Buddhism. The reflection of snow-capped mountains on its tranquil waters evokes a sense of peace and serenity. Every year on the 15th day of the fourth month in the Tibetan calendar, numerous laypeople gather at Namtso to celebrate the Saga Dawa Festival.
Then transfer back to Lhasa to visit The Jokhang Temple. The Jokhang Temple is an extremely revered and essential site in the history of Tibetan Buddhism.
A statue of the 12-year-old Sakyamuni, who lived in India in the fifth century BC, and who was the creator of Buddhism, is collected in the monastery. This is the reason why Buddhists consider Lhasa a Sacred Land.
