This morning, your tour guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel. Then you will drive to the 19th-century Gandan Monastery. You will visit the biggest monastery in this country. Appreciate the splendid figures of Buddha in this temple. Gandantegchinlen Monastery, which means “the great place of complete joy,” is a vast complex with multiple temples, courtyards, stupas, prayer wheels, a Buddhist University, and several colleges of Buddhist philosophy. The highlight is the 85-foot-tall (26-meter-tall) statue of Migjid-Janraisig, made of copper, gilded with gold, and adorned with thousands of gems.
Then you may have a chance to see the view of a group of monks chanting together.After that, you will come to the Zaisan Memorial. You can appreciate the panoramic views of the Ulaanbaatar when you climb on the top of the Zaisan hill.Bogd Khaan Palace Museum of Mongolia also named the Winter Palace of the Bogd Khan. Being a museum considered as possessing the longest and the biggest collection in Mongolia, it's certainly worth your seeing.
The last stop of today will be Sukhbaatar Square in city center encircled by many landmark buildings.Around the Square is located numerous city buildings many still exist since their Soviet construction in the 40s. Not to be missed especially as the current government have made moves to have many demolitions in favour of glass and steel structures. In the end, send you back to the hotel.
