You will be picked up from your hotel (within Lijiang ancient town) in the early morning. You will be transferred to the First Bend of the Yangtze River. It is a magnificent bend in the Yangtze River formed here. The scenery is extremely spectacular with its treacherous mountains, rushing river and sweeping clouds. You can choose to take a boat tour to enjoy the magnificence and grandeur of the Nujiang River scenery.
Then you will continue the journey further north to the Tiger Leaping Gorge. It is one of the deepest canyons in the world and a magnificent gorge formed by the Yangtze River here. With steep peaks on both sides of the canyon and the rushing and stirring waters of the river, the scenery is spectacular.
After lunch, you will continue to Shangri-La, and on the way, you will notice that the landscapes and architecture gradually changes as you go further into the Tibetan cultural areas, with barley fields and yaks scattered across the valleys.
On the way to Shangri-La,you will visit a local Yi Minority Village. Then you will arrive at your final destination: Dukezong Ancient Town. It is an important place for the local Lisu people to live and communicate with each other, as well as a part of the ancient Tea Horse Road. It is also an important window into the culture and history of Yunnan's ethnic groups, allowing people to better understand and cherish the rich and diverse cultural heritage of this region.
