Morning visit to Putuo Zonghseng Temple, modeled after the Potala Palace of Tibet, the residence of the Dalai Lama built a century earlier. This temple was built between 1767 and 1771, during the reign of the Qianlong Emperor. The temple represents a fusion of Chinese and Tibetan architectural styles. Many of its halls and pavilions are adorned with copper and gold tiled roofs, adding to the splendor of the site. Continue with a visit to the Imperial Summer Palace of Mountain Resort, The Temple of Putuo Zongxian is the birthplace of the Putuo Sect of Buddhism in China. Built in the Qing Dynasty, it is mainly dedicated to Guanyin, the Goddess of Mercy. There are many ancient buildings and cultural relics in the temple, where you can worship and pray for blessings and feel the religious atmosphere while enjoying the beautiful scenery of the mountains.
