Day 4  Lhasa - Gyantse - Shigatse

This morning we’ll take a drive up to the Kampala Pass (elevation 4797 meters) where you’ll have a glimpse of Yamdrok Lake down. ​One of Tibet's three holy lakes is surrounded by snowy mountains and icy peaks all year round. According to local legends, it is said to be the manifestation of a goddess.

Later on we’ll be able to visit the Karola Glacier. The top of the Karola Glacier is a gradually sloping ice cap, and the bottom is two ice tongues shaped like an icefall. It is one of the three major continental glaciers in Tibet and has been the outdoor shooting location for several movies.Late in the afternoon we will continue on to Shigatse where we will spend the night.
