After breakfast, start today's tour at the White Horse Temple, located in Luoyang City, Henan Province. It was built in the Eastern Han Dynasty, Yongping eleven years (68 AD), is the first government-run temple built after the introduction of Buddhism to China. It is the "source of Buddhism" and "ancestral home" of China, Vietnam, Korea, Japan, Europe and America. As a temple with the highest degree of internationalisation, Baima Temple is truly the "First Temple in the World".
After visiting the White Horse Temple, drive about 1.5 hours to Shaolin Temple. Shaolin Temple is not only the birthplace of Zen Buddhism, but also the birthplace of Chinese Kung Fu, known as the "Ancestral Court of Zen Buddhism and the Holy Land of Kung Fu", and is regarded as the "First Famous Shaolin Temple in the World". Because of its successive generations of Shaolin monks dedicated research and development of Shaolin Kung Fu, it was known as "the world's kung fu out of Shaolin, Shaolin Kung Fu is an A in the world" said. It is a world cultural heritage, a national key cultural relics protection unit, and a national AAAAA level tourist attraction.
Don't miss the famous pagoda forest. Most of the inscriptions in the forest are original inscriptions from the Tang and Song dynasties. The east side of the stele forest is the former site of Ciyun Hall of Shaolin Temple, which is now the Stele corridor of Shaolin Temple. There are 141 historical inscriptions in the forest of steles and the corridor of steles. You can also enjoy a daily kung fu show by Shaolin monks at the Shaolin Martial Arts Hall, which usually lasts about half an hour.
After the Kung Fu experience, drive back to Luoyang or Zhengzhou to catch your train or flight to your next destination.
