Day 2 Lhasa - Shigatse

This morning we’ll take a drive up to Yamdrok Lake, one of Tibet's three holy lakes, which is surrounded by snowy mountains and icy peaks all year round. According to local legends, it is said to be the manifestation of a goddess.

Later on we’ll be able to visit the Karola Glacier. It is one of the three major continental glaciers in Tibet and has been the outdoor shooting location for several movies.​ Late in the afternoon we will continue on to Shigatse where we will spend the night.
