Drive outside the city for about 62km and 1 hour, you will arrive at Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden, the largest and most beautiful botanical garden in China with the largest collection of flowers and plants. This vast area is consisted of three parts (West Area + East Area + Green Stone Forest Area). Today, you will visit the most beautiful gardens in West Area and the primitive tropical forest in East Area.
The Botanical Garden is rich in plant resources and has collected and studied a large number of tropical plant species. Visitors can enjoy the exotic beauty of tropical plants in the garden and learn about the ecological characteristics and conservation significance of tropical plants. The Botanical Garden also has a Tropical Plant Herbarium, which displays a variety of rare plant specimens and related scientific research results. Note: If you are interested and still energetic, head to the 3rd part - Green Stone Forest for more trekking, it can take 1.5 hours.
