Afternoon heading to Summer palace, a royal garden in China during the Qing Dynasty, formerly known as the Garden of Clear Ripples, is situated in the western suburbs of Beijing, 15 kilometres from the city, with the entire garden covering an area of 3.009 square kilometres (of which the Summer Palace World Cultural Heritage Area covers an area of 2.97 square kilometres), with the water surface accounting for about three-quarters of the area.
It is adjacent to the Yuanmingyuan. It is a large landscape garden built on the basis of Kunming Lake and Wanshoushan Mountain, modelled on the West Lake in Hangzhou, and drawing on the design techniques of the Jiangnan Gardens, and it is also the best-preserved imperial palace, known as the "Museum of Royal Gardens".
This afternoon visit the Temple of Heaven, formerly known as the Temple of Heaven and Earth, is located on the east side of Yongdingmen Street in Dongcheng District, Beijing. It was the place for the emperors of Ming and Qing Dynasties to worship heaven, pray for grain and rain. It is the largest remaining ancient sacrificial complex in China.

Located in the central axis of the capital, it starts from the Moon Bay of Qianmen in the north and ends at the Tianqiao intersection in the south, connecting with Tianqiao South Street. Ming, Qing Dynasty to the Republic of China are called Zhengyangmen Street. 1965 was officially named Qianmen Street.
