Day 11 Lijiang - Shangri La

Today, first drive about 52 kilometers from Lijiang to enjoy The First Bend of the Yangtze River. This is a bend in the Yangtze River where the river turns swiftly to make a spectacular bend. Standing on the viewing platform, you can overlook the beauty of the meandering Yangtze River, with breathtaking views of the rolling hills and lush green canyons in the distance.

You will visit the most mature part - Upper Tiger Leaping Gorge.

After the hiking trip, you will take a car to Shangri La. Upon arrival, stay at the hotel and visit Dukezong Old Town. It is an important place for the local Lisu people to live and communicate with each other, as well as a part of the ancient Tea Horse Road. It is also an important window into the culture and history of Yunnan's ethnic groups, allowing people to better understand and cherish the rich and diverse cultural heritage of this region.

Climbing to the top of Guishan Hill offers a panoramic view of the endless snow capped mountains surrounding the pure land.
