In the morning take a train from Beijing to Qinhuangdao. After lunch,Old Dragon Head, where the Great Wall of China entered the sea, is the only Great Wall built on the seashore, and is also an important military defence project. And then, begin your hiking tour from Old Dragon Head directly to Shanhaiguan Pass.
Shanhaiguan has become one of the must-see attractions for tourists because of its profound humanistic and historical significance and its important role in military history. Climbing up the tower of Shanhaiguan, you can see the scenery inside and outside the pass and feel the heroic style of the pass.This route is easy and only about 1-1.5 hours in total to hike. Small villages on the way will add joys of this tour. When finish hiking, A short drive will take us to the Fortress itself.
After a one-hour's visit of the Fortress and the Great Wall Museum inside. After that, drive you back to a hotel near the Wall for staying overnight.

Dongjiakou is one of the important fortresses of the Jizhen Great Wall built by Qi Jiguang, a famous military general of the Ming Dynasty, and the northern wing of the Shanhaiguan Pass City. And then, back to the village to visit the ruins of the fortress and to chat with the villagers, who are the descendants of the builders and guards of the Great Wall, and who have proudly maintained this section of the Wall generation after generation, without government funding.
In the late morning, we will start our 3-hour hike westward along the Dongjiakou Great Wall, stopping to have a simple lunch along the way. At the end of our hike, we will start our long 4-hour drive to the site of the Eastern Qing Tomb, where we will stay in a nice hotel nearby.

After breakfast, be transferred directly to Eastern Qing Tomb for a visit. Eastern Qing Tomb is the largest imperial grave complex with surrounding natural landscape in all of China. It is the home of 5 emperors and 15 empresses.
After that drive you to Huangyaguan Great Wall and enjoy a leisure 1.5-hour hiking trip on this well-renovated Great Wall. Its trekking route is about 10 kilometres in length and requires a high level of physical strength and endurance. The time required for the trek varies from person to person and usually takes 4-6 hours.And then, drive you to Jinshanling Great Wall area and stay overnight in a guesthouse at the bottom of the Wall.

After the simple breakfast, start your Jinshanling Great Wall hiking today. You will hike eastward from Jinshanling towards the Simatai Section, the scenery along is extremely fantastic! You will stop at Wuyan Tower on Jinshanling section. This tower ensures you a great view of Simatai Section. Then down to the parking lot at the Jinshanling and enjoy the lunch of today.
The afternoon Great Wall hiking section is Wohushan Great Wall which is needed a short transferring from Jinshanling. Originally a royal hunting ground for Kangxi's winter hunting, it is now a mountain recreation and holiday tourism area integrating leisure holiday, forest exploration and training.
When finish this hiking, you will be transferred back to the guesthouse on the bottom of Jinshanling Great Wall area and stay overnight.

Today’s hiking time will be around 5 hours/10km in total from Jinshanling to General Tower on Gubeikou Great Wall Section.Gubeikou is a thousand-year-old military town as the core, including the ancient Great Wall system, natural scenery, historical monuments, cultural landscapes, military town culture and other unique historical and cultural towns, and has always been a place of war.
On the hiking route, there is a military area which is forbidden to pass through. So you will bypass this part by going through a lovely village. When arrival the end of the hiking, you will be transferred back to Beijing. Have a good rest in the hotel in Beijing.
