It was the imperial palace of China during the Ming and Qing dynasties and is located on the central axis in the centre of Beijing.

It will be an exciting day today. It will be an exciting day today.Drive out of Beijing to Mutianyu Great Wall of China (approximately 150 km). Compared with other sections of the Great Wall, the Mutianyu Great Wall is well-preserved and relatively less visited by tourists, so it is considered one of the ideal places to visit the Great Wall. The Mutianyu Great Wall has beautiful scenery and steep mountains, and there are several viewing platforms and defences in the scenic area, where you can take a stroll and enjoy the magnificent scenery of the Great Wall.You will have 1.5-2 hours to trek on the wall by yourself.
Afterwards, make a photo stop at two architectural icons from the 2008 Olympic that are still standing: Bird’s Nest and Water Cube.Today, the Bird's Nest has become a landmark and tourist attraction in Beijing.
