After breakfast, your guide will meet you in the hotel lobby and take you to Shaxi Old Town, the last remaining market town on the Ancient Tea Horse Road.
It is an ancient residential area dominated by the architectural style of the Bai people. This ancient city preserves rich historical and cultural relics and displays Bai folk customs and architectural art. The ancient city retains the original Bai customs and daily life style, and visitors can feel the strong ethnic flavor.
Enjoy a short hike (2.5 miles) from Sideng Street. Cross the Yujin Bridge and walk along the Heihui River to the north where you can enjoy the peaceful countryside. If you stop at Beilong village, you will be surprised that there is a beautiful bookstore. The building used to be a factory of processing crops.When you get to the Duanjiaden village, you can find a well-maintained traditional stage with a history of more than 150 years.
