When you arrive at Urumqi airport/train station, you will be met at the exit by a local driver holding a welcome sign with your name and transferred to your hotel in the city centre for check-in. Free to organise the rest of your day at your leisure.

After breakfast, drive to Turpan. On the way, visit Toyuq village, located in the centre of the Flaming Mountain Canyon. The village consists of four parts: canyon scenery, mazar tombs, and ancient buildings of the ancient village. After finishing there, we will visit the Jiaohe Ruins, one of the best-preserved ancient sites in China, which was inscribed on 22 June 2014 on the World Heritage List.
Continue to visit Bezeklik Thousand Buddha Caves, Berziklik Thousand Buddha Cave is the cave group with the largest number of caves and the richest mural content among the existing caves in Turpan, and is one of the larger Buddhist cave temple sites in Xinjiang. It is also the one with the highest specifications, which used to be the royal monastery of the Gaochang Huifeng Kingdom.
After that, drive to Flaming Mountain, Xinjiang Flaming Mountain is the most famous attraction in Turpan. On 13 April 2018, the Flaming Mountain Scenic Spot was shortlisted as one of the "100 Scenic Spots in the Magical Northwest".

In the morning, visit Jiaohe Ancient City. Walking to the centre of the main road of the old city, from the observation deck, in addition to the old city and the old village, ethnic characteristics of the building. Immersed in the long river of history of the Jiaoxie, only mottled and pale still hides a huge unsolved mystery.
Later, go to Karez Well, which is a kind of underground water conservancy project created during the long historical development of the working people in arid lands. Karez Well drew out the groundwater and turned the desert into an oasis, which was called "well canal" in ancient time. You will marvel at the intelligence of ancient people.
After that, drive to Turpan Museum, It covers an area of 17,571 square metres, with an exhibition area of 4,278 square metres and a storage area of 539.45 square metres. It is the richest open-air museum in the world.
Then drive to Urumqi.

After breakfast, leave for the Heavenly Lake. The lake reflects the Bogda Peak, surrounded by spruce. The scenery is like a fairyland. The scenic area encompasses alpine lakes, wetland meadows, forest canyons and other natural landscapes, and in 2013, the scenic area was named a National Geopark by the state.

You will visit the Abakh Hoja Tomb first, which is not a simple tomb but an exquisite architectural complex including chapels, gardens, archways, etc, as the best place in the region to admire Uygur people’s extraordinary aesthetics and skills of Islamic architecture. It also offers a rare opportunity to see and learn about the funeral customs of Uygur families because there is a large Islamic family of five generations whose name is Abakh Hoja buried here.
Next, you will visit the landmark of Kashgar - Id Kah Mosque. The whole mausoleum is a group of very beautifully constructed magnificent ancient architectural complex. It is by the Church, high and low worship temple, gate tower, the main crypt, orchard and other major components, a variety of different shapes of the building constitutes a mausoleum of different heights, staggered multi-level landscape.
Only several minutes' walk from the mosque is the exotic Kashgar Old Town. In July 2015, Kashgar Old Town Scenic Spot was rated as a national 5A scenic spot, and it became the first national 5A historical and humanistic scenic spot in Xinjiang.
Walk through the famous Handicrafts Street where you are able to see dazzling jewellery, original pottery, unique musical instruments, and the end of the daily life experience of the locals. Free time at Ancient Tea House is specially arranged for you to relax and soak up the local culture and traditions.

After breakfast, drive to Karakul Lake. The lake is in the mountains in the environmental protection, the lake water and grass, often Kirgiz herdsmen stationed here. Karakuli Lake is one of the few highland lakes in the world. Every year in summer and autumn, is the base camp of mountaineering tourists, but also passing travellers to visit the place of excursion.
