Welcome to Xi’an! After retrieving your luggage, you will find your local guide waiting for you in the Arrival Hall of the airport, holding a welcome sign with your name on it. After a warm greeting, you will be taken to the hotel in a comfortable and air-conditioned vehicle and your guide will help you with the check-in.

In the morning we have no activities scheduled, you are free to arrange your own time. In the afternoon, we will visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and the Daci'en Temple. The Big Wild Goose Pagoda holds a rich collection of Buddhist cultural relics and scriptures, which are of great significance to the study of Buddhist art and culture in the Tang Dynasty. Climbing up the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, you can enjoy a magnificent view of the city of Xi'an.
Then you will visit the Shanxi History Museum, which has a large collection of historical relics covering all periods from the Neolithic to the modern era. The museum showcases the rich and colorful history and culture of Shaanxi, including pottery, bronzes, calligraphy, paintings and precious Han Dynasty relics. A visit to the Shaanxi History Museum will give you an insight into the development and evolution of ancient Chinese culture.

Morning visit to the Terracotta Warriors and Horses of Qin Shi Huang. Considered one of the most important archaeological discoveries of the 20th century, these more than 8,000 lifelike warriors are arranged in the vaults guarding Qin Shi Huang’s tomb, the first emperor of China, the principal architect of the Great Wall and the unifier of China. The Terracotta Warriors are considered one of the world's greatest ancient military monuments, attracting countless visitors to admire and explore.
In the afternoon, you will visit the 1300-year-old Little Wild Goose Pagoda. It is an important landmark of the Tang Dynasty's Chang'an City, which has been preserved to the present day.
Then you will visit the Xi'an Museum, which has nearly 130,000 artifacts related to the history of ancient China, and specifically to Xi'an. Your final stop will be the Grand Mosque and Muslim Quarter. This historic area maintains a strong Muslim cultural atmosphere, with streets lined with a variety of food stalls, restaurants, handicraft stores and ancient mosques. Visitors can taste a variety of authentic Hui cuisine and experience the exotic flavor of the region.

Transfer to Xi'an Railway Station for the three-hour bullet train ride to Pingyao. You will start your exploration of the ancient city of Pingyao at the Rishengchang exchange office. It was the meeting place of the ancient Chamber of Commerce for business exchanges and deliberation of important matters.
Then you will visit the Armed Escort Museum, where you can try all the martial arts training devices and exotic weapons you have seen in Chinese movies. Afterwards, you will visit the county government offices, which include facilities such as the jail, courtroom, meeting rooms, gardens, and residential quarters and offices for government officials. You can experience a reenactment of a court case from the late Qing Dynasty here. Your last stop is the Pingyao City Wall.After the tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel for a rest.

In the morning, visit the Shuanglin Templ. It gets its name from the two sky-high ancient pines in the temple, which look like a pair of unique forest trees. The Shuanglin Temple preserves numerous ancient architectural and artistic treasures, including the mountain gate, the Daxiongbao Hall, the Tibetan scripture building and the Lohan Hall.
Afterwards, you will visit the Wang Family Compound, which covers an area of 22,000 square meters and is divided into three courtyards, the front, middle and back, with a total of more than 400 houses, including the main hall, compartments and courtyards. After the tour, you will be transferred to Pingyao Railway Station to board your train back to Xi'an. You will be picked up by your driver and transferred to Xi'an airport.
