Sipsongpanna Botanical Garden, Chinese Academy of Sciences
Your driver and guide will pick you up at the hotel at 09:00 and drive you to Menglun (70 km, about 1 hour 30 minutes). You will visit the largest botanical garden in China with more than 3000 species. The Botanical Garden is rich in plant resources and has collected and studied a large number of tropical plant species. Visitors can enjoy the exotic beauty of tropical plants in the garden and learn about the ecological characteristics and conservation significance of tropical plants. The Botanical Garden also has a Tropical Plant Herbarium, which displays a variety of rare plant specimens and related scientific research results.
After lunch, your guide will take you to Menghan (Ganlanba) (40km, about 1 hour). It’s a small town where you will see typical Dai bamboo-stilt houses, Dai ethnic villages, tropical plants, and colorful fruits. Then, you will return to your original departure point (30 km, about 1 hour).
