Welcome to Chengdu! After retrieving your luggage, you will find your local guide waiting for you in the Arrival Hall of the airport, holding a welcome sign with your name on it. After a warm greeting, you will be taken to the hotel in a comfortable and air-conditioned vehicle and your guide will help you with the check-in.

This morning you will make a stirring visit to Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding which is the world famous scientific research and breeding base, public education base and educational tourism base.
You will be taken to a hidden spiritual Buddhist temple in the bustling downtown of Chengdu - Wenshu Temple. Adjacent to the monastery is a small bazaar (Wenshufang) where you can experience local market and living style. To truly experience the slow life of Chengdu people, you must go to the "Renmin Park". Experience the authentic "city life" and feel the daily life of Chengdu people. You can go directly to the People's Park.
Next is an impressive trip to the famous Jinli Old Street. It is one of the historical and cultural neighborhoods in Chengdu. It retains the street layout and architectural style of the Ming and Qing Dynasties, and is one of the popular attractions for tourists to learn about Chengdu's traditional culture and experience the local characteristics.

Today you will take a flight to Lhasa Gongga Airport from Chengdu. After check in to your hotel, the rest of today is for you to acclimate to the high altitude and weather of Lhasa.

The grandiose Potala Palace , known as "Budala Gong" in transliteration, has a long history and is an important gateway for sharing Tibetan architecture and culture with the world.
In the afternoon, visit the holiest Buddhist temple in Tibet, Jokhang Temple with a history stretching over 1,300 years, where the 12-year-old-like Shakyamuni statue is consecrated. Outside the door of Jokhang Temple is the famous pilgrimage circle, Barkhor Street, which is a place where you can experience the historical lifestyle of Lhasa. It has kept the traditional appearance of the old city intact. Walking along the street, you can get a glimpse of the way people lived in the past and enjoy the local food and culture of Lhasa.

After breakfast, start your day with a visit to Norbulingka Park, which is a famous palace and park in Lhasa, Tibet. It's like a stunning ancient building surrounded by a beautiful garden. Inside, you can discover many valuable historical items and treasures.
Then drive about 5 km west to Drepung Monastery. This monastery is the biggest monastery in Tibet. With its white buildings and red grand halls, it looks like a magnificent pile of rice on the mountainside. It's a stunning sight that's perfect for taking memorable photos
You will then visit the six-hundred-year-old Sera Monastery, one of the three great monasteries in Lhasa, Many of its main halls still preserve ancient frescoes, showcasing their historical and artistic significance.

Today you will be taken to the second largest city in Tibet Shigatse, while viewing the highlights along the road. At an altitude of 4,441 meters, Yamdrok Lake is known as one of Tibet's three holy lakes, is surrounded by snowy mountains and icy peaks all year round. According to local legends, it is said to be the manifestation of a goddess.
After this stop we will continue driving to the next destination - Gyantse and take a short break at Karola Glacier which is a gradually sloping ice cap, and the bottom is two ice tongues shaped like an icefall. It is one of the three major continental glaciers in Tibet and has been the outdoor shooting location for several movies.
Then make a visit to the key landmark of Gyantse Palcho Monastery. This is a traditional Tibetan monastery with a fusion of Han, Tibetan and Nepali architecture in its temples and stupa.

Today we will drive about 8 hours to the final destination - Mount Everest. After arrival at Mount Everest, hop on a park bus and drive about 20km to the Rongbuk Monastery, which is located at the foot of Mount Everest, right where the Rongbuk Glacier ends. This stunning monastery is split into two parts: an old section and a newer one.

Get up early to chase the most beautiful landscape of sunrise on the Everest. Then drive about 6 hours to the final destination for today - Lhatse.

After breakfast, go ahead to visit the famous monastery of Sakya sect of Tibetan Buddhism - Sakya Monastery. As an important monastery of the Gelug School of Tibetan Buddhism, Sakya Monastery possesses a rich Buddhist cultural heritage, with a large collection of Buddha statues, scriptures and art treasures. Then keep driving about 5 hours on well-conditioned highway back to Lhasa.
